Client seeks a volunteer attorney to assist with reinstating her driver’s license so she can pursue employment opportunities that require driving. In 2020, Client was involved in a motor vehicle accident with another driver who was operating an insured rental car, resulting in a subrogation claim. At the time of the accident, Client was driving her mother’s insured vehicle, but she was not listed on the policy. Client was unaware of the subrogation matter, and a default judgement was entered against her. She recently discovered that her driver’s license was suspended as a result. A volunteer is needed to advocate on Client’s behalf by negotiating with the plaintiff to obtain an affordable payment agreement and help restore Client’s driver’s license.
